Owner questions.
Does this apply to other Brother sergers?
No. Brother’s pages list these five models only. For any other serger, use its own manual’s system code.
Should I use 80 or 90?
Brother lists both without a fabric rule on these pages. The general rule in needle-maker guides is a smaller size for lighter fabric and a larger size for heavier fabric.
Will a new needle fix skipped stitches or breaks?
Not necessarily. Brother treats needles as one check among several; follow the full article and contact Brother service if the problem continues.
