Terms of use

Reference, not advice. Use this site as a research reference. It does not replace the exact manual for your machine, a qualified technician or professional advice. Compatibility, safety, regional availability and specifications can change.

What a result means. A result states what a manufacturer or another cited source published, for the model, market and edition named. A record that is missing or unresolved is not a confirmation of incompatibility, and a matching record is not a guarantee of fit. Check the applicable manual before changing a needle or operating a machine, and test on a scrap of the same material.

Safety. If a needle breaks, bends or strikes the foot or plate, stop, switch the machine off and follow your manual; contact the maker or a qualified technician if it happens again. The site never replaces that advice.

Accuracy. We work from published sources and show them next to each claim, but pages can contain errors or become outdated, and translated editions may contain translation mistakes. If a page contradicts your manual, follow the manual. The Tex-to-needle calculator uses a supplier chart with one disclosed correction and gives a starting range only.

Quotations and trademarks. Short quotations from manuals and manufacturer pages are reproduced for reference and attribution; the rights in those documents stay with their owners. Brand names and product marks belong to their respective owners, and this independent site is not affiliated with the manufacturers it names.

Links. External manufacturer and supplier pages have their own terms and privacy policies, and may change or disappear.

No warranty. To the extent the law allows, the site is provided as is, without warranty, and we are not liable for loss or damage arising from its use. Nothing here limits rights you have by law as a consumer.

Changes. We may update these terms and the site’s content; the date a page was last updated is shown on it.
