Home sewing machine needles (no system code printed) (p. 46). Buy this system; a familiar size number alone does not make a needle fit.

Size by fabric
Lightweight fabrics → 65/9–75/11; Medium fabrics → 75/11–90/14; Heavy denim/canvas → 100/16; other heavy fabrics → 90/14–100/16; Stretch fabrics → ball-point 75/11–90/14 (p. 46).

Fitting the needle
With the flat side of the needle toward the rear, push the needle fully up to the stopper and tighten the needle clamp. (p. 45).
