What the Brother SE600 manual says about the needle system, sizes and fitting. The same manual covers SE630, LB5000.

What the manual says

Brother SE600 Operation Manual (US English), checked October 20, 2026.

  1. 1

Home sewing machine needles (no system code printed) (p. 21). Buy this system; a familiar size number alone does not make a needle fit.

  3. 3

    Fitting the needle

With the flat side of the needle toward the rear of the machine, insert the new needle until it touches the needle stopper; tighten the needle clamp screw clockwise. (p. 22).

  4. 4

    Twin needle

Twin needle (2/11 needle, part code: X59296-121); foot J. Set [Twin Needle] to [ON] in settings; never use the needle threader with the twin needle; twin needle included as accessory (*2 2/11 needle) (p. 52-53).

  5. 5
