Needle system
Home sewing machine needles (no system code printed) (p. 57-58). Buy this system; a familiar size number alone does not make a needle fit.

Size by fabric
Thin fabrics → 65/9–75/11; Medium fabrics → 75/11–90/14; Thick fabrics → 90/14–100/16; Stretch fabrics → ball-point 75/11–90/14; Easily frayed fabrics → 65/9–90/14; Topstitching → 90/14–100/16 (p. 57-58).
- 3
Fitting the needle
With the flat side of the needle toward the rear, push the needle fully up to the stopper and tighten the needle clamp. (p. 55-56).
- 4
Also in the manual
The official guide lists included 75/11, 90/14, ball-point, twin and embroidery ball-point needles.
